TIE 2
This course has at times been stressful, difficult and Oh My Goodness will I ever be able to do this!
The process is done and Oh My Goodness what a GREAT LESSON it was!
I Invite you to watch it Full Screen
it is much better than the embedded size.
I learned so many new things during this process. I can use Google Docs, Blogs and Voice Thread with ease now. I really like them all. Technology is the way of the NOW and the FUTURE.
It amazed me that the students already new how to doodle. I had never heard of it.

What worked well?
I think the entire lesson was a SUCCESS! But kind of disappointed that I did not figure out how to have the students doodle and voice respond at the same time. After I met with Dr. Elwood today, she told me it was possible. Well what do you know when I got home and tried again IT DOES! You just have to hit Ctrl and record and type at the same time. Wish my students could have done it that way. There is always Next Time.
What would I do different next time?
Maybe adding the webcam or have the students make a movie from picture slides as I have done below.
Enjoy the Show!
Don't forget to check out the links in Tie ! if you want the Lesson Plan and Power Point
I also thought you might like to view the video clip I used as the Focus (Attention Getter). This clip was made by MGM Studios based on a book from 1963. The kids loved it!
I still have Questions on how to use this technology in the future, so help me out; leave me a comment.
Here are some questions I have?
How could I have gotten peer to peer interaction in this type of lesson?
Would you take an assessment grade from a lesson of this type?
Could it be layered daily to take a summative assessment at the end of a unit?
Check out my Peers see what they are up to.
Leave them a Comment I did!

ReplyDeleteThat is an awesome lesson!!! I want to teach it to my students!!!! The video was so cute and I love the way you incorporated the doodling with the geometry. Big success!!! Congratulations :)
ReplyDeleteLoved the lesson on Geometry! Loved the video as well. Doodling seems like a great way to show how they understood Geometry. Doodling seems a bit more difficult for other subject areas, like History. I think a simple, informal assessment would be most appropriate for this lesson. Great job!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat lesson! I thought it was very pull put together. I would assess the students by having them engage in this voicethread. Even if they all do not get a chance to post their work, they could all at least be given the opportunity to show you what they know.
ReplyDeleteWow!!Your blog is awesome, how did you do all of that? You put alot of time and effort into this, very good. I really like how you everything flows and the video is great. Good job lady!
ReplyDeleteEXCELLENT, Felicia!! This is SUCH a great math application! You did a great job from the planning documents through the final product. Great work!
